Meet the Therapists
Pat Foley
Co-Owner, PT
Pat joined STPT of Binghamton in 1992 as co-owner. She grew up in Broome County, is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo, and brings over thirty years of experience as a Physical Therapist to the practice. Pat has served as a guest lecturer/instructor in the senior seminar for the SUNY Broome PTA program. In addition to treatment services for general orthopedic rehabilitation, spine and joint problems and sports injury rehabilitation. Pat has extensive experience in specialty areas including pre/post natal treatment, breast cancer rehabilitation, lymphatic decongestive techniques, vertigo and balance disorders, bowel and bladder dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic pain and status/post prostatectomy. Pat has extensive experience treating neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. Pat uses Graston Technique(R), Kinesio taping, and myofascial cupping treatments. Pat employs manual techniques (i.e. craniosacral, advanced strain /counterstrain methods and myofascial release) in addition to traditional modalities.
Bryant
DPT
Dr. Bryant Barnhart joined STPT of Binghamton in 2022 . Bryant is a, native of Apalachin, New York. He graduated from Misericordia University in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and practiced outpatient orthopedics physical therapy New York’s Hudson Valley Region for six years prior to returning to our area. Bryant has deep experience working with a variety of injuries and conditions including particular interest in sports orthopedics. He is well versed in manual therapy techniques and is Graston Technique® certified. His also specializes in McKenzie Concept, Myofascial Release, Postural Correction Mulligan Concept and Blood Flow Restriction Therapy (BFR). Bryant was a collegiate soccer athlete, and now is an avid hiker and backpacker. He is a big believer in fitness and lifestyle changes and their ability to restore physical health and positively impact mental health.
Autumn
PTA
Autumn joined the STPT of Binghamton team in 2021 upon graduating from the PTA program at SUNY Broome with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree. She works alongside Pat Foley, PT, where she applies her training Graston Technique® and Kinesio taping, and myofascial cupping in her therapy practice where appropriate. In addition to treatment services for general orthopedic rehabilitation she focuses on sports injury rehabilitation drawing on her soccer experience. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and working out.
Tatyana
PTA
Tatyana has over 23 years of experience in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. She graduated from SUNY Broome with an AAS/PTA degree. She joined the STPT of Binghamton team in 2023. She has extensive experience working with patients on ambulation, transfers , mobility, balance, coordination, therapeutic exercises often required after a cerebral vascular accident (CVA). She also specializes in pre and post-op rehabilitation with extensive experience in prosthetic knee and hip surgeries, fractures, above- and below-the-knee amputees; therapeutic treatment of upper and lower extremities, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. She is proficient in electrical stimulation, ultra-sound, therapies of deep tissue massage, manual traction, trigger point release, cranial-sacral therapy, myofascial release and myofascial cupping. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, as well as cook, bake and travel.
Matt Myette
Co-Owner, PT
Matt graduated from Boston University in 1984 with a degree in Physical Therapy and has been in the orthopedic field supporting in/outpatient physical therapy ever since. Matt has extensive training and experience in manual therapy. Highlights of his specialties include: spinal rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation including running & golf injuries, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome include injury to the teeth or jaw and post-surgical rehabilitation. Matt co-founded Southern Tier Physical Therapy Associates (STPTA) in 1986 with Todd Mansfield. Subsequently he practiced physical therapy for four years in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital. Matt returned in 1991 as co-owner and leader of Southern Tier Physical Therapy (STPT) of Binghamton. *NOTE* Matt is seeing patients Monday's and Wednesday's from 8am-11am at the Johnson City Office ONLY.
Colleen
PTA
Colleen joined the STPT of Binghamton team in 1992 upon graduating from the PTA program at SUNY Broome with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree. Her professional interests include orthopedic injuries, sports rehabilitation, and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). Colleen believes in the hands-on team approach that is followed at STPT and has carried that onto the basketball court. She coached Seton Catholic Central High School girls' basketball for 15 years that including taking her team to New York State Champions in 2016/17 and advancing to state final four for the second straight season in an all new Class A division in 2017/18. Garrett
PTA
Garrett joined the STPT of Binghamton team in 2023 upon graduating from the PTA program at SUNY Broome with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree. He works alongside Pat Foley, PT. Garrett is skilled in applying Graston Technique®, Kinesio taping, and myofascial cupping in treatment protocols. He specializes in hand therapy especially on injuries common to youth sports. Also, Garrett treats gait and balance disorders. Garrett enjoys playing basketball most recently for SUNY Broome as a center/forward and previously for Susquehanna Valley High School.
